Gaza Agricultural Recovery Initiative

In August 2025, Tasdeer partnered with the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee Association (PARC) to launch the Gaza Agricultural Recovery Initiative, supporting the recovery of the agricultural sector and strengthening the resilience of vegetable farmers affected by the war.
Implemented over six months in Khan Younis and the Middle Governorates of Gaza, the initiative rehabilitated the agricultural land of 71 small-scale farmers, including 41 greenhouse farmers and 30 open-field farmers. Farmers received financial and in-kind support to restore agricultural production, including greenhouse plastic sheeting, irrigation system repairs, vegetable seedlings, and other essential agricultural inputs.
Beyond land rehabilitation, the initiative provided continuous technical support through regular field visits, on-site guidance, and monitoring to promote sustainable agricultural practices and help farmers maximise their yields. By supporting farmers in restoring their productive capacity, the initiative contributed to early livelihood recovery, strengthened food security, and supported the resilience of Gaza’s agricultural communities.
