Consultation for Assessment of Production Development Needs for Three Valuable Food Products (Gaza)
Trade Facilitation and Customs Support Programme (Tasdeer)
Tasdeer, an FCDO-funded trade facilitation programme in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, is soliciting proposals from eligible and responsible companies to provide technical assistance to support and develop Olive and Dates production methods and keep pace with technological advancements in manufacturing processes in order to improve productivity, quality, and market share. These products will be assessed and improved to meet the requirements of the Gazan market, and to explore potential for selling in the West Bank and beyond. This focus on three key products will allow Olive and Dates to provide the local market with high quality products to substitute similar imported products and be ready for potential exports in the future.
Objectives of this assignment:

- Assess current production techniques and quality of the three identified products and develop appropriate production modifications based on best food manufacturing practices.
- Identify required additional tools and machinery needed to implement the new techniques.
- Provide training to the main female operators and oversee the quality of production.
